Sue, thanks for starting this tread about detachment. This is something I am struggling with also. My daughter married in August. Her husband is a recovering drug addict. He goes to meetings and has been doing great for several years. He suggested that my daughter go to the alanon meetings also. I think I will go with her. Thanks again for sharing your insight.
