Thursday morning the doorbell rang at 8:00...then as I was getting out of bed (I stayed up till two the night before and thought I could sleep in) I hear the kids chattering. So I guess Dan still has his house key on hand...never did ask for it back. I knew I was getting the kids Thursday but I told him to let me know when they were coming over. Oh well I was glad to see them.
Spent the afternoon having lunch with my kids, parents, and some aunts and cousins. Then I took the kids to my former in-laws' so they could have dinner there with Dan and my SILs and their kids. I stayed for about 20 minutes visiting with my SILs (I know they aren't anymore, but still) and my nieces. I got my niece a bday gift because she will always be my niece. I really didn't speak to Dan. Not in a rude way, I just didn't really bother. He was in another room watching tv with my former FIL anyway.
Then I headed to the hockey game to meet my date. What a refreshing change, he actually looked like his pictures! We chatted through the whole game, then after he walked me to my car and we decided to drive over to a bar in the downtown area to hang out some more.
Total we spent almost five hours together. He texted me about 20 minutes later to say he had a nice night and wished me a good day for the following day (I told him I was heading out shopping the next day)...
