POSITIVES

1) i am positive that my daughter has a runny nose and runny eyes, and for the most part is feeling quite miserable

2) i am positive that my oldest stepson has a high fever and is coughing alot and for the most part is feeling quite miserable

3) i am positive that because i didn't get any sleep last night i am for the most past feeling quite miserable, yet i have to be a mommy and care and comfort the masses

these are my positives for today

Ok, no sleep and sick children. I will let you slid today.

BUT tomorrow that means you have to do double!

Try to have a good afternoon and get some rest tonight. Can't have mom getting sick!

((((((( kitti )))))))

... dropping by to wish you and yours a speedy recovery.

Here's a positive to consider ...

Good time to snuggle D into her bed and read her favorite book...

... and no matter how miserable a boy feels, he still sure does appreciate some "mothering" when he's sick.

Hope you get some relief soon too.

'til later,

hey kitti,

can you put more of a positive spin on your "positives" for today?

I'm positive I am a great mom who is willing and able to care for the poor little ones who are filled with snot (ok that was my weird sense of humor creeping in)

I of course could come right back at you with a whole list of not so positive things I'm positive about...

how bout...something more like..I'm positive there are 14 days left til christmas and I'm almost done shopping? I think?

I dunno kitt...it's horrible when the kiddos are sick! blah! try to find something else to be positive about...hey maybe I'm postive that since the kids aren't feeling well they'll be in bed earlier and I can relax?

pam - thanks for letting me slide - it wasn't a good day yesterday, and it certainly is amazing how your whole world changes when you don't feel good

kaw - thank you for the reminders - i did ALOT of mothering yesterday - in fact, i just let the house go so that i could concentrate on mothering

lostlove - seriously, my positives from yesterday were my attempt at a little black humor, but it didn't go over well - this is part of mothering i don't really like - it's so hard to see your children suffer and there aint a damn thing you can do except to give them comfort.

*************************

POSITIVES

1) many calls yesterday from hubby checking in on kids and wondering if i was holding up - he came home and thanked me profusely for being there for the kids

2) i got to cook by myself last night - hehe - hubby and children enjoyed dinner

3) had an aha moment yesterday about the people i hang around (LOL) - and i am about to change that

*************************

children still sick, still lost alot of sleep last night, but i think that was the worst and we are on the road to recovery

you know, i used to think my mom was silly when she used to kiss me all over when i was sick and then she would tell me, "give me your sick - i want it right now" - well, i did the same to my daughter, i don't want her sick anymore - oh how generations remain the same eh?

gonna work on goals this weekend

Miss ya! Good idea, work on positives!

Funny that you were talking about your H starting a homebased business. I just got some booklet in the mail the other day. Would like to do something at home and the course I'm taking now could help. Hope everything is better for you today!?

Kitti,
And where are the positives!?

We are singing right now~ The weather outside is frightful, the fire is so delightful, we got no where to go. let it snow, let it snow let it snow!

And believe me the flakes are hugh! And the ground is covered!
