It's not easy Romeo, this co-parenting thing! Part of the issue is, as you said, wife takes on too much in her life and then is spent when it comes to handling the kids issues. She then maybe over reacts to things. On the other hand, it is important to be a unit in dealing with discipline issues. So, I back her up as long as it's reasonable to do so. The sad thing is that she knows she takes on way too much, gets way too stressed but does nothing about it. She just keeps on the same route.
Anyway, as far as diabetes, that's done like dinner! I worked my butt off, lost forty lbs. and the diabetes. No blood sugar problems since. Hey, it was my stupid life style decisions which gave me diabetes in the first place so it had to be me deciding to change that made the difference. I was ashamed of myself and promised my kids I would do whatever I needed to in order to reverse this. I kept my promise!

Just to add to the above, I remember when I told my family that I had been diagnosed with Diabetes. I told them that I would do whatever it took to reverse this and nobody needed to feel sorry for me. Youngest D, who was about seven then, said "if my Daddy says he will beat it, then he will. 'Cuz my Daddy's a winner!" You remember those moments. smile

Well, I went to pick up the girls last night and they asked me to come back later, they were in the middle of cleaning up wife's house. One was folding laundry and the other was cleaning up any mess she could find...they wiped counters, swept floors the whole shot. It was so nice to see that it wasns't just the one who was in trouble doing it, the older one was helping out too. They were working as a team. Those are my girls, they care about each other. This is their attempt to show mom they are trying to make changes. I hope she recognizes their efforts. They're good kids, I'm so proud of them.

Wii, you should've done the laundry for STBXW and laid out all of the unmentionables nicely on her bed, matching the tops and bottoms. Now that would've earned you some serious points grin and who knows you could've attained your goal as listed in the title of this thread...except the first part maybe?

Kudos to the kids, they are great kids wii, you're lucky that despite the turmoil of the D they behave so well.

Thanks IR. Tonight when I picked them up and they were busy cleaning D13's bedroom together. They mean business these two!
