So for your violin making competition, is it like the food network competitions where you have like 4 hours and some required guidelines to follow?

I think it was rude of your ex to send you a text several weeks after the fact to address the dating thing. Did she feel like making you jealous or stirring the pot or something? (No, I am not asking you to read her mind, I am just sayin'!"

I don't know what her deal is honestly. I had to be very blunt with her today and I quite enjoyed it! smile

We are allowed to enter one of each type of instrument and they cannot be more than 2 years old. They are judged based on their sound and craftmanship. There are bronze, silver, and gold medals in both sound and craftmanship.

Well, even after I told XW that "I was done with her and did not want to see her face when I pick up the kids," she showed her face anyway. Then she even wished me luck at my competition this week! Now I understand how the WAS gets angry when the LBS shows positive changes and pursuit. I nodded my head and left.

While I was in Cleveland for the last week I shut my phone off. My XW wanted to talk for "only a minute" on monday and I was not going to do it. I was trying to focus on my work and I really did not need to hear anything she had to say. I got back yesterday and turned my phone back on. There was one text saying that she was going to leave a voicemail. I am not going to even listen to it. Then last night she sent another text saying this,

"I bought D3 a new carseat. Yours is in the garage."

Can anyone answer why? Why oh WHY? does she think I need her to buy a carseat for my car?

wait- were you sharing the car seat before? just wondering.
And isn't it funny how now the WAS are annoying and we don't want to see them and prefer to not have any interaction when just a bit ago, we were eager beavers trying to win them back.

HA! Well done turning off your phone. So how did the competition go?

No, we were not sharing carseats. I still have a carseat that works just fine. I am doing just fine financially right now and I even commented to D8 that I was going to get a new seat for D3.

The competition was great fun and very educational for me. There are ongoing talks and conferances all week until the judging is complete. I did not win this time but viola made it into the top 20 in the world and my violin also made it to the last round of judging. There were many makers from around the world that have won before who won nothing this time. I don't feel bad at all about how I did but I would have liked some bragging rights! Thanks for asking newmama!
