Actually, I was thinking that maybe you are not able to move forward until the divorce is filed. Like it is closure you need except the thing is that I will never tell anyone (or you) that it means you won't have a future with your H. We just don't know unless we close that chapter and decide it. BUT maybe you aren't able to GAL because you are "waiting."

Divorce= ending a marriage (and a whole lot more).
Marriages end in divorce at least half of the time
I think because marriages are seen as disposable, it might mean that divorce is not seen as a finality like it once was....meaning maybe there are more cases of remarriages than there used to be.

So just as marriages today are not as permanent as they once were, perhaps divorces aren't either.
