it's not so much the actual text that's important. but look at how many times he acknowledges her ..
"you work for our money too." - i recognize that you are a contributing partner. "you deserve to splurge on yourself." - you are worth it in my eyes. "you don't say anything when i waste money golfing." - thanks for not making me feel bad for doing it. i really appreciate it.
the "don't worry about the money because it is only money" to reassure her the financial security that may be holding her back.
it's just another creative way to validate.
just out of curiosity .. do you tell her that she's beautiful in her LL? you can say "yes, i do all the time." but are you speaking in her LL?
