Beatrice, thanks for chiming in! I admire your directness. I laughed when I read it!
MIL has always prided herself on being a friend and support. She seems to think that she can spew at me and then jump back on the friendship wagon. I figure that she is now firmly MIL status and as I am no longer married I no longer need a MIL.
Thanks too for your thoughts on whether to mention this to H. I don't think I will have to cos I think MIL will do this for me and anyway as Sanderika has said, she has probably already sewn the seeds. He has been out of contact. He also had a falling out with D and withdrew his offer to take her to her activity as arranged. Of course, just before she was due to leave with her new taxi driver (Guess who?!) H texts to see if she needs a lift. Predictable!
I wanted to add that today I've reviewed notes from my last session with Jody. Wanted you to know she said she's been doing DB coaching for 4 years and has just recently been getting calls from people who have been plodding along for 2-3 years and their situations are just starting to turn around. From her counseling experience she thinks that MLCs take longer than many of the books indicate.
Thought this insight from someone who knows a lot about this might be of interest to you.
Thanks GAG for following along. Your support is wonderful!
I felt my situation was finally starting to see some positive change. However, now that MIL has weighed in I'm sure she will be encouraging H to move on with the settlement and divorce.
MIL told me H's relationship with ow caused him no pressure and that's exactly what he needs right now. ( I have taken this message on board). I did laugh at that comment though because....it's not exactly what he needs or otherwise he wouldn't be talking/helping me! Whatever!! Beatrice is right. MIL doesn't deserve the headspace. I think I need to write a response and just not send it. It will help me clear my head.
That's the new one. Please join me for the ride... it's an interesting one...... smooth, soaring into new territory beyond the clouds, some touch and goes, minor turbulence and storms. Everyday is a new day! Every day is a surprise!
