Can I truly drop the rope if I move back in to my house?
You most definately can.
Despite the fact that I've been severely beaten up by some respected vets here for not moving out of my house and missing out on the shock and awe value.
You can always do it later if needed.
I chose to spend more time doing what worked for me.
