I talked to the lawyer who is setting up a new company for me and my business partner.

We talked about the protection of assets etc and the fact that I am M but separated.

He advised me that in my state that remaining M only exposes me to further risk from a financial perspective.

Unfortunately the laws in my state promote divorce in this instance because there is no legal separation.

My choices are to accept the risk that W could come after my income which looks like will be getting greater.

My only choices are to file which sets the date of assets to be considered in the M.

Longer I wait the more exposure I have.

Let me be clear my W hasn't asked me for a divorce.

I am in a quandry becuase I don't know IF this M is something we can reconcile.

That is a process we have not even begun or discussed.

Need some help on this...my friends.
