My son is trying to crack into the top 5 in the country. Some of the moves that he is executing are amazing. I didn't think the human body could perform in this manner. I tell him to "busta move!"
No the stuff I do does build character but its not like a lot of martial arts where theres a mental training.
Think of it like high school wrestling. Does the dieting, full contact matches, hard work, and injuries teach you something about character and discipline?
So that is where you got your suave Cary Grant moves...interesting pookie
It's because they taught me how to kill with my bare hands when I was a kid. I had to learn how to be loveable on my own for the rest of my adult life. Still learning. P.S. Someone here kept bringing up Cary Grant movies, so I've been watching them again from time to time. They have given me a different perspective on coolness.
Athough, the site is dedicated to DB to save the M and we all want to save our M, but realize that we can and must save us. DB'ing and GAL'ing is about making you a stronger, happy and healthier individual so that you are prepared for whatever the outcome of your sitch will take. Please do not put too much faith in friends and family unless they are intimately involved in your M. They only hear one side of the R and in most cases tell you what you want to hear. I am sorry if I sound harsh, but it is reality...they want you to feel better. We on this site don't want to set you up with false hope only to have you get crushed again. We want a stronger, healthier and happier Judo!
