Did you look at that link I posted? I think it really could help you if you'd give it, and yourself, a chance.

I printed the work sheets. This will be a good project for me this evening.

Thanks

I know I need to change my mental attitude. I'm really struggling. I feel so overwhelmed by sadness.

SoA,

Sadness will come. It will also go. You can handle this.

Good morning SOA, good for you for printing off those worksheets. That's a great step. I can feel how hard you're struggling and I'm so sorry how sad you are. I think that, as you said, having a 'project' (good word BTW!) like this can be very helpful when you're mired down in a lot of emotion. It gives you something else to focus on, and working on your self-esteem will help.

Sending good, healing and strengthening thoughts your way.

Thanks PH and FMV for your kind words. My friend gave me a tough love speech this morning...sort of. She told me I need to start setting other goals in my life. Find a room mate, look for a better job with insurance benefits. Reading and praying and trying to better myself spiritually is all good, but it has to be more than that (her words, not mine). She's right. I'm in such a rut. So depressed. Downward spiraling, for sure. I can't believe this is my new reality. Sucks.

Ruts are made to be climbed out of!
Think of how to change your "new reality" and drive it towards what you want. Not the things you can't control, but the things you can.

I can tell you're feeling overwhelmed. It's a lot of change, for sure. I'm glad to hear you have a friend there who cares... they're invaluable aren't they. Is there anyone there who you can enlist the help of, in starting towards some of these goals - eg. someone to help you find a better job? Or are you better with a challenge when you can just put your head down and get after it on your own, rather than with a friend?

Have you had any luck finding a new IC?

Haven't found a new IC yet. Haven't had the money to cough up the $300 for the initial consult for the one I wanted to see. Don't know how to find one that would be good otherwise. This one was recommended by a friend.

As far as getting a room mate, shouldn't I wait til his name is off the title to the property? As far as finding a job, every job I've had is because a friend has recommended me to someone they know for an open position. I have a friend who wants me to apply for a job in her office but I haven't yet. I need to do that. Maybe before the end of this week. The pay wouldn't be significantly higher, but I could get affordable health insurance there.

A new job is something I think you should really pursue. Besides the health benefits and reasons you are thinking of, it will present great opportunities for new friends, new goals, new projects...excitement.

We are all pulling for you...you can do this...this new position sounds like a win-win situation
