I'm not "deployed" but I am "at post". I've asked to be sent litterally ANYWHERE in the world but here. No dice. I had hoped I might get sent to Sweden or Brazil. Alas.

A change of scenery will do you good. If it is only a couple months I'd go for it. Plus if things are looking good w/ your W, it will be a good test for her.

Sweden - beautiful women, expensive beer.

Brazil - beautiful women, cheap beer.

I think I know what my choice would be.
