You sound good. Your realization about just being you is perfect. Who wants to think they are being loved for who they are showing themselves to be? It's much better to be loved, or hated, or whatever for who you are.

Sorry about the confusion with work. That was a very mature way you handled it. Seems like facing it head on really paid off. Glad they were so understanding about it.
