It's been a looooong time since I have visited this forum. The only reason was I found my old password while busy packing my office for good and at the same time deleted old emails and one of the folders was Snodderly. I was able to talk with Snodderly and she is doing very well. My password still works I guess since it let me back in the forum.
I was looking for DBers during my time and sure enough, you are still here (the minute I saw Maggot, I knew you were the one and the same...hehehe...) and still with Josh...and now the proud owners of the dream lakehouse in Mirror lake. Congratulations Barb...I am envious...The DBers I personally met were Jaycee (her and her exBF came to visit DC in Jul 2008) and had dinner with Survival Goddess when I visited Sacramento. Found Snodderly's number and had a good chat. Lost Bethie's phone number. I recognize Karen, and Mastateflower has her own post and still married to Rob...
Anyway, I have now retired from Federal Government (early retirement with Law Enforcement), sold my house back in June 2010(was blessed and made quite a bit even with depressed housing), my only sone to graduate in December, and I will be moving permanently to the Phils before christmas and give my 84 yr old Mama company. All my stuff will be shipped end of this month and I will spend Thanksgiving with my family down south (MS). By the way, my ex H does not talk with his own family but I do. I guess he is still out there twirling in the wind.
We are surely blessed Barb...I am looking forward to going home where my coffee follows me and no more winter snow to shovel...hehehe...just fun in the sun and the beach at 80 degrees...Take care my friend...I will surely have time reading postings in the board now for sure. Right now, I'm pretty happy with my life. And all these is courtesy of my ex MLC H divorcing me...hahaha!!!
I remember the great christmasses you used to write about in your house, I remember you even had sleigh rides to boot...it will be fantastic in your dream lakehouse for sure...you still go to Orlando from time to time?

Hey Hope, Wonder, Ellie! Wow some of our "oldie" friends are back. YIPPEE! (and Karen and a few others who, like me, never really left - LOL).
I love hearing your stories but hate that they all ring so familiar. Still the old alien theory - they all act from the same script.
My ex has a weird kind of "contrived" relationship with his family. he sure doesn't have much of one with his kids. But Wonder - you got it - it never really was about us. It always was and always will be "ALL ABOUT THEM".
I was debating whether to return the china that belonged to my mother-in-law but it looks like I will be taking them with me since it was packed with the rest of my stuff...hehehe... I got a close-up look of the OW/Wife sitting across the table from me while my ex and I signed the closing documents. She looked fine and all made up. I had a feeling she was not happy to see me. She need not worry. The house was the last item that needed his signature. I don't think I will see him again in the near future.
So now I have all these books to get rid of...I wonder if there are any takers over at the MLC forum...
