Maybe you should Sol! My D16 said to me the other day that she thought Americans had no culture "We've got Beavers, we've got Mounties, we've got bears, we've got a Mosaic...etc" Whew, I can't remember the last time I heard a Canadian brag about OUR culture, usually you hear "we have a culture?"
Did I mention that after the procedure I took wife out to brunch, it was about 11:00 am. Afterwards, in her car, she handed me the Lasagna she'd packed for lunch and said "Here, you have this for your dinner tonight" She'd taken half her breakfast from the restaurant with her so she said she'd eat that later in the afternoon for lunch. She then pulled out a whole container of fruit and gave that to me too. She knows I'm not supposed to drive today and didn't know whether I had anything at home. So, I took it with gratitude. She's such a Jeckyl and Hyde that woman. I've learned just to take the good when it comes and be thankful when it happens and then move on.
I was wondering about your brunch but didn't want to pry. I wondered if it was odd for the two of you to be alone and if you talked about anything besides the weather.
It's so bizzare how some of them are such Jeckyl and Hyde, it's how I've described STBXW in the past and that's why it's helped me tremendously to have *very* limited contact with her. I always wondered if her nice gestures were acts of care of feelings of guilt.
The meds definitely have you wound up. Next time try viagra too with the morphine and vallium for best results

Morphine and Valium don't wind people up! I think I'm just relieved that this is over. It's been on my mind for a couple of weeks and although I didn't allow myself to dwell on it, it was always back there. It seems in the last year there is ALWAYS something back there! If it's not my Dad's health, it's mine or something else. I've actually been putting off getting a colonoscopy because I was concerned with the fasting (having Adrenal Fatigue I don't respond well to lack of food!) but I've been feeling good and when I found something in the stool that looked like blood I manned up and went to the doctor. As for wife, I don't read anything into what she does. She took the morning off work which I know is difficult for her. She made sure I had something for dinner, which she didn't have to. She is what she is. She has a good heart but she's a screwed up lady in many ways and that's just who she is. I don't think after three years guilt is big on her mind, I think she was just being caring to someone she cares about in whatever way that is. I don't take it as meaningful one way or the other. So, if my playfulness today has you all worried, don't be! I'm just relieved and blowing off a little steam on the BB. Now, my Dad had his appointment today with the surgeon who did his Cancer surgery three years ago. I'll have to see what tests he's going to be sent for, probably a gastroscopy at least. Btw, I just did a half hour meditation so I'm good for a few more hours now!!!
Was just talking to my Dad and he's going for the same procedures as I just had in late November. The doctor said it could be a twisted bowel, which usually corrects itself but, if not,surgery would be the final choice. We'll have to wait and see.
Glad all went well. It is great when it is all "Behind You". LOL!
I think the thing I love most about being Canadian is that we enjoy laughing at ourselves. We know our culture is kinda "hokey" at times but that's ok. It's all cool!
I am heading to Muskoka today (after my own PreOP dr visit) and in 2 days I get the keys to my new house there. Buying with Josh. A testament to "life after divorce". I would NEVER have imagined that it could get this good.
I am looking forward to the end of NEXT week despite the pain I will be in. My teeth are KILLING me. The wisdom teeth extractions were postponed too long and I had some breakage this week. It is good to know that my 6 months of mouth pain will finally end.
I must go rebook my dad's colonoscopy before I go north. He will be glad when his is behind him also.
