I don't think you're a doormat either. My H said something interesting to me today. He said that he noticed me becoming more and more pleasant to be around. And as a result, he found ways to NOT be around me because it was too confusing since he was supposed to be doing better without me. They notice what we often think they don't. And you never know what simple things can cause a profound shift in their thinking patterns. I think you did the right thing and am proud of you too.
