OK, maybe "dim," cuz they have a child they need to talk about? Are we supposed to be chatting with them when we've gone "dim?"
I don't know that John's ever really gone dim either. The general rule I've gotten for going "dim" and having a child is that you only talk about things absolutely necessary for the child. You're kiddo ends up in ER, you call . . . your kiddo skins their knee, you don't. Things like that.
