I'm ok today Eric. Going to gym tonight.

Moving forward, cuz I'm done sitting on my a$$.

Have to start somewhere and force myself to move forward.

This is a process. One that just sort of evolves over time if you let it.

Pushing it, chances are, the changes won't last.

You have some great people posting to you and helping you. Two of my favorites actually...

Listen to them and the others...

Go easy on yourself.

Patience is key with DB, although we have all been guilty of not having it at times.

One question, you said beer was a problem...

Is that something you can change, something you want to change?

Make today a good day.

Hi Cat, I love my support group. I couldn't do this without em.

I LOVE BEER!

However, BEER + Cigs + "Right now" = Same Old Behavior

I'm changing this up too...it's enabling my procrastination.

My epiphany last night was IF my W was to show up last night, other than me not being glued to a computer she yould have seen NO CHANGE. Is this what I want to see in myself? No

I don't see the change I need to become happy with myself. Tonight I'm moving forward so I can see those changes.

Yeah, mornings are staying chilly...warming to the 40's during the day now.

I'll take it as an ok day compared to Antarctica. LOL

Yes you could, it would just be harder.

This I understand.

You love it probably as much as I hate it.

You are a guy though so...

Getting a handle on this, could be very difficult. It is possible though. Especially if it isn't a HUGE problem.

I am glad that you recognize this.

Don't let it rule you. That is something you can control.

You know Faith, we all have our "things". For some of us it is video games, sewing, animals, computers...

Something that occupies our time and takes over if we don't monitor ourselves.

These things, get in the way of our interpersonal relationships.

I am not a very "personable" person. Yea, yea, some of the people here are gonna not believe that...

I spend a lot of time giving to people. With my job, my son and his activities, my close friendships. Sometimes, I need down time to do one of my "veg out" sort of things. It was, to a degree, an excuse to not have to talk to people when I didn't have to or want to.

So now, I still make that time for me, I just do my best to not let it take over all of my free time.

You can do this, find a balance, monitor yourself.

I slept good last night. Working out was a good move.

I had to pry myself out of bed this morning. All is good so far.

Yep, good nutrition, good fitness routine, good sleep.

The holy trinity of PMA.

Then there's perspective. Spend most of your time enjoying the present and making reasonable plans for the near future, and when you look back, use that time to think of all the things you are grateful for.

Result: happiness.
