I don't think I'd shell out $25 for a ticket to go solo. It's the same day I'm beginning to move in to the new house -- so I'll have plenty to do if I don't have a date.
I'm thinking of asking Church_35 again. I'll see her tomorrow at our growth group and I'll look for an opening to bring it up.
I've always been maybe too cautious when it comes to dating. All of my major relationships except for one I knew before hand that they were interested before I asked them out. I hate rejection.
Even the one where I wasn't sure, I noticed her at a restaurant and I waited until she went to the bathroom and asked her friend if I should ask her out.
But I was thinking about Church_35. She was divorced four years ago. She's going to the same divorce support group I am. She joined a singles group at church. What am I afraid of. The signals are she wants to meet people and go out.

if you don't ask church_35 out, someone else will. ;-)
The ball sounds fun. Your jokes are funny BTW!

Divorce group is a great place to get to know someone! I did it and it was fun. We broke up and we are still in the same group. The green ball would be fun and women love to dress up and go out. Your FEAR of being rejected is going to show on your face when you ask someone out. In order to get over that fear, try asking out 10 women in one day. At the end of that day you will feel like a different man and it will SHOW.
Then, ask Church_35 out!

Ugh ... Because of school days off and D11 being sick, I haven't seen them since Thursday. So D8 is really chatty and she starts talking about STBXW. Apparently, D8 found and watched the wedding video last week with the afterschool sitter.
Anyway, D8 has been telling STBXW all the things I've been doing -- the divorce class, church, the trips with friends.
And STBXW tells her I'm doing great getting over her.
Why does this bother me?

Side thing. D8 says STBXW took the house off the market for the winter so she doesn't have to keep it clean. She asked if I cared about the house. I said I do, but I don't live there anymore. She asked if she wanted STBXW to keep it. I told her, "No. To me, that's mommy and daddy's house and I don't want her to live there with another man. It would hurt."

...because women get over us quicker. Genetics..wiring..hormones...who knows. They do.
I remember an anecdote in some book I read a long time ago re: breakups. A man comes to his XW's house to pick something up and brings his new GF along. In his mind he is thinking, "wait 'till she sees my new GF. This will REALLY get her."
He walks up to the door and his X sees him with a stunning blond and she says to herself, "thank G-D he found someone else."
All I can say is, recall the old movie with Raquel Welch, One Million Years B.C.:

Just remember that may only be true if the woman left. Ex seemed to think he was over me in no time because he was infatuated with his affair partner.
It took me at least a good two years and then I still cried sometimes when I came across photos.
Your STBX wants to feel less guilt for what she has done, thus the comment to your daughter. If she was in her right mind, just that thought would probably devistate her.
