My Life in Ruins is cute but not as good as it looked. Thought I'd let you know. There are a few funny parts though and it's easy watching. smile

Funny you're worried about me Kat. It's probably the mail box is full. Have some splaining to do about that. I'll email you. I got the movie last week, but have had to work OT at work and the kids last weekend. I've been fine.

Ok, D10 and I were at the mall book store Sunday. OW shows up and says in a super sticky-sweet voice, Hiii, D10. I looked at her and her face was like deer in the headlights, and she didn't say anything and we kept walking. I never even looked at OW after the 1st second. And then we really didn't talk about it after. She said that was weird, and I said yeah.

Then we've finally gotten things settled down, a nasty email once or twice a week from X, but better than in past. And...I just emailed him I want to change the schedule. The judge granted us 50/50 custody, and X set up the schedule a year or so ago (well by pulling the kids out of the car and showing up and grabbing them or pulling them out of school early, etc.), but anyway, on his weekends with them he has them Sat. noon on, and then every Sunday night he has them. I want to switch to us having traditional weekends; Friday night to school Monday morning. Less transition on the kids, less driving, no parking lot dropoffs where he likes to bring OW too, etc. I want to have every other Friday to go out with friends and maybe sometime in the future date; I'd like to go see one of my best friends who lives a couple hours away and do some weekend trips. And Sunday nights my church has youth group and like to take the kids to that too.

X has agreed to taking the kids every other Friday if I insist, but insists on having the kids every Sunday night. His reason he says is b/c he lives closer to the kids schools and D10 can get extra sleep-but seems easy for me to get her to bed 20 minutes early Sun. night to make up for it. He's threatening court action if I don't drop the kids off Sunday night. I'm thinking about seeing an L and getting our schedule in writing, I don't think most judges would agree to a Saturday noon dropoff in parking lot, and also need to get the financial stuff and orders done--X has never done them. Do you think I'm being unreasonable wanting to change the schedule?

Then on my drive home tonight I wind up driving behind X's car, then he switched lanes and got behind me and drove on my tail until we got to his place...This town is too small for us I think...I so want to move sometimes!!! But I know I have things pretty good; silly for me to complain. So much is good in my life; family, friends, job, etc.

I say you need to get a L to get this stuff done because your ex sure isn't going to do it. I would think you would need proof that he is paying child support and alimony. I know you can go to jail if you don't pay the child support.

Your ex has also always been a control freak. Time to nip that in the bud because why on earth do you want to mess with that for the next 8 years??

I just got your e-mail. wow!

hugs, kat

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Was a great weekend! I loved the catered food most of all! Met a lot of great women there. Loved archery and wilderness survival: I started a fire with flint and cotton balls-although if I get lost in the woods doubt I'll have those...Skeet shooting not so much! But good to try new things. We did a night hike, learned about birds of prey by this really cool woman falconer, ate s'mores by the campfire. It was very cool. A bunch of friends we made there want to do the next one in May in Ocala and have a reunion, so will try to do that.

X has gone wacky again. About a week ago, he wants me to drop the kids off Sunday nights at his place or the dollar store parking lot. I just don't want to do it anymore; either he's yelling, or holding my car door open, or OW's there. I've just made up my mind I won't do it anymore. I've been doing all the driving the last couple months to avoid it, kind of wound up doing that without realizing. I figure if X wants them Sunday nights on my weekends instead of me dropping them off at school the next day then he can pick them up at my house, or leave them with me, whichever he decides. I'll still be doing all the other driving and I'm fine with that.

Did I tell you with this whole weekend thing he showed up at D10's daycare Friday morning a week ago, and said he wouldn't take the kids that night unless I promised to drop them off Sunday nights. He said this in front of the kids, I just said I'm taking D10 to daycare now. I came back and he was waiting in the parking lot for me still trying to pressure me, I told him I have to take D16 to school now email me. That kind of stuff always makes me shaky. Then that same morning, I got called into my supervisor's supervisors' supervisor; the top boss where I work along with my supervisor too. I'd never even met the big boss. Turns out X has done a records request wanting to know info about my job such as the hours I work. She wanted to know if I needed a restraining order, and I said no. I've let him know dozens of times I'm on probation at work and I think he was trying to make trouble for me. Both she and my supervisor were very supportive and my supervisor was really sweet saying how great I am and that kind of stuff. But it was embarrassing...They have to wonder about me having married such a nut...

Then last Friday I took off work for my weekend. X had already agreed to watch the kids that weekend after I asked him a month or 2 ago. So I didn't drop D10 off at daycare, and dropped her off after S16, changing my routine. We stopped for a drink at the convenience store by the school and as I'm about to pull out X is driving past (he didn't see me), right by D10's school. Her school is completely out of the way of his work. I'm guessing he wanted to show up that morning at the daycare and then the school, and say he'd only watch the kids if I agreed to drop them off Sundays. With time, I see more and more what a blessing our divorce has been for me.

When I dropped off D10 at school last week, the crossing guard told me he sees when X drops off D10 and he's always walking 10 feet in front of her and she tries to catch up, but when I drop her off she's hugging me and laughing and clearly we have a great relationship. I know this stuff, but always good to hear!! smile

I'm so sorry I've been awol lately. Working OT at work at the end of the quarter (everyone else at my work did too), and trying to be a good mom too. Hard to balance and juggle everything sometimes, but everyone hear knows that!!! Going to try to catch up on everyone's threads this week! Hope everyone's been doing well!!!
