It seems to me that in many cases the cheater has firmly decided to get out and have already worked themselves up into a frenzied fit of rationalization that defies all logic. In these cases the infidelity simply adds more impetus to the justification and they don't even care about getting caught in the act. Divorce is the big ticket to being 'single' again, free to live it up and have sex with any number of other consenting adults. Look at the evidence on this board alone. Also society has become openly accepting of serial monogamy and serial 'partners' regardless of little children being around. They even rationalize this as being good for the children rather than being in a miserable marriage. So what chance do a few pathetic DBers have against the larger forces out there?
