Yes, that is what it is. Yep, I will be fine just because you keep telling me so! lol No really, I have been reading more on line and getting more ok with it. Knowledge is power.
Friends with hugs, thoughts, wishes and prayers have been incredible.
So really if you have a "funny" feeling about something get it checked out. Staying afraid and doing nothing really isn't going to help. Be your own advocate and find out what is going.
Off the soap box. Love you guys.

I have had two occurences of Basel cell cancer. The first time freaked me out because I had this scab on the top of my head and it wouldn't heal and was bleeding. I went in and they tested it. The doc came in and said well it's skin cancer, but followed that statement up quickly with telling me that if you have to get any type of skin cancer, this is the one to get - completely treatable and I did have the Moh's procedure on it. Second occurrence was about 8 years later in a spot on my leg. That was about 5 years ago and no other occurences since then, but I go in once a year to see a dermatologist to get checked out.
Hope you can get in soon to have it taken care of.
Had my stich for the biopsy taken out yesterday. I was talking to the nurse and it looks like all of that itching may have been due to an allergic reaction to polysporin!! Anyway, she was really nice and I asked several questions including about the cancellation list. She said she just goes down the list, doesn't leave messages but gets the slot filled.
I go back to work and have a ton to do since I was sick on Friday. The nurse calls me at 1:45 ... there is a cancellation!! So the appointment was for this morning at 8:30!! I say I will take it but I will have to confirm with my boss. As soon as he gets out of his appointment I double check with him and he says fine. Go for it.
I barely slept but went in this morning and had it cut out. The numbness has totally worn off and even with Tylenol extra strength this is hurting. I am taking at least tomorrow off and then I will see how I am. At least I am now cancer free.
