Agreed. After I told my boss he said go ahead and get on their cancellation list since we are only about 5 minutes away. They only do these on Tuesdays, Thursdays and 1 friday a month. Hopefully something will work out and I will be able to get in and get this over with. If not 5 weeks isn't terribly long.

Think of all the people you've helped here by sharing this. I'm going to the dr. next week to get a referral to get checked out too. I've been procrastinating, but you've motivated me. And I do hope you get on the cancellation list; I think it would be such a relief to have over with!!!
I was scared of this "thing" that showed up on my face. Scared that it was cancer. If I didn't do anything it was going to get bigger and do more damage as it got bigger. I didn't talk about it much, just hoping that no one noticed it. Maybe it would go away. It didn't. So with my Mom's gentle prodding I did what I should have. I made an appointment.
I am glad that some good has come out of this. Thanks to Donna and Karen for letting me know that my situation is what moved them to act. Hopefully your results are good.

Oh wow, you are just funny today. So the Doctor's office just called. It is Basel cell cancer. They will cut out what they can see and then check under a microscope until they can see a healthy layer of skin and no cancer. They can get me in November 9th, so about 5 weeks.
Good report. Sounds like they are going to do what is called a Moh's procedure. All sounds very good. You are going to be fine!
