For the more scientifically minded person, I'd recommend "The Time Paradox" by Phillip Zimbardo grin

It's where I stole the idea of "gratitude lists" from.

Lol! I'd never considered myself to be 'scientifically minded'! Yes, you'd recommended that one to me before. I'll put it on my list. Thanks again. smile

Thanks Pinhead, I sure hope you're right. He certainly wasn't acting happy last week... but I guess last week was the past and I'm not supposed to be worried about the past if I'm present in the present, right Time? smile

Sometimes even I am not happy grin

Learn from the past, then move on. That's my motto. I try to stay as focused on the positive as possible. The more I have ruminated, the more I have tried to imagine every horrible scenario, the more Time I have wasted grin Pun intended.

Phew! Well this gal just got back from taking her ruminating keester out onto the pavement and running a couple km. Nothing really stellar in terms of form or time, but hey, no significant shin pain for the second time this week! Wahooooo! I'm on my way to a half! I really think I'm going to be able to do it this time!!! Zipadeedoodah... ohh man... gotta love endorphines.

Yep. When I find myself in a funk... some free weights and some aerobic activity usually snap things back into perspective grin

Agreed! I feel so much better after a really hard run. Lasts me at least an hour or two.

OMG Pinhead... I just read on your thread that you're getting ready for your first half in the spring? I'm aiming to do my first one next fall! Way to go! What's your mileage up to?

The Greek and I are doing a full in Dec. The wx here has finally cooled off (65 degrees and 80% humidity in the am.) We had a enjoyable 7 mile run this morning. Make sure you have the right shoes and you eat/hydrate well. Believe in your training and the distance isn't a problem.
