Hello I'm new here, but I've been around a long time. About a year ago I read DR and that really changed my outlook on my life. It changed the way I thought about myself and my sitch.
I have learned so much from so many of you that I don't even know and if anyone reads this I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your courage and willingness to share your stories.
It is so encouraging to know that we are not alone and that we have each other to blaze the trail forward to a future that can be full of promise.

Very sorry about your situation. I post primarily in the MLC area - H is planning to file when he gets the $$ together. I will not sign. My state is "no fault" - so basically he can get a D whether I sign or not. I have to follow my faith - and I don't believe in it. Let me tell you, I've had plenty of reasons to - but it's not me.
Hope you find comfort in this site.

My story is similar to many on here, probably is in line with a MLC. Of the 12 years we have been married probably 8-9 of those were great. We adored each other always giving each other a kiss before I left for work each day. She always called me "my everything" and the cards that she gave me thoughout our marriage always had the theme of this being a "forever love"
She was always the cuddly enjoy to sit and watch movies together kind of girl. She always kept our house perfectly clean and we regualarly ate meals together.
Somewhere about the time that my youngest D went to school she started to really dislike her life. She was overweight(about 30 lbs heavier than she is now), could not stand being at home alone and started to seek out the comfort of her friends at work.
She began to go out more often which caused extra stress on us. I am a family man/home body and she wasn't happy with that anymore. I would always gladly keep the kids so she could go out and play. I thought at the time that this was just a phase that she would work her way out of.
I stepped up and took on more things at home. I took over most of the chores at home. I took over the faith life that she used to lead, I even continued coaching soccer which was her passion in high school.
I think many things happened to her throughout the years that led her down this path. She has serious issues with being alone. She has always had trouble with death and her siblings moving away from home. She has very real issues with abandonment.
