thanks Albuquerque,

I know what you mean, I have "been on the floor crying" way to much in this sitch. It has been hard for me to find humor sometimes, but I guess it is getting better. My D's and I try to find the humor in his "shenanigans" as D25 calls it. They have been great in finding and using the humor of it all.

One of their favorite things to do is send me H's favorite "text response" that I get from him...that is when I have sent him a message, he sends me back..." K." That was it...to hard to hit the "o" before "K" I guess. So my D's love to spring that on me occasionally in their texts. Kids!

But it is getting a little easier to find the humor. I have been at this a long time. BD was 3/09. H moved out 5/09. You are right, laughter is the best medicine. We ALL could use more of THAT!

Thanks for your response.

I love the reference to "The Jerk"!!!

Oh my goodness, I almost just spit out my water when I read this. This is EXACTLY what I said to myself, when H moved out the first time 4 years ago. I remember thinking to myself "why did he take THAT?" So weird!!! He took a miniature globe. Nothing else...I just happened to look up on the desk shelf one day and noticed the globe was suddenly missing. When he moved back I asked him where the globe was...and if we were getting it back... He was kind of like "huh?"

B,
I'm sorry you find yourself here but as you know, this is an incredible forum to belong to. I don't know what I would have done without it 4 years ago. Didn't imagine I'd be back...but here I am. *sigh*

Beastiemanager can I teach you how to make quotes on your thread?
It will make your posts a little easier to read.

Easiest way, hit quote button on the bottom, instead of reply and eliminate(delete) text you do not want.

Second way copy text the way you are and hit 5th button from the right
which will give you
[/quote I am leaving out last bracket, paste text between brackets.

Third way is to type above in manually
..text..[/quote .....(again last bracket missing).

You can use the preview button to see what your post will look like before you submit it.

B,
Definitely do an inventory. I think you will be very surprised at what he's walked away with.

Keep your sense humor up! One day, when you are stronger and even more detached, you'll be able to look back and have a great laugh over removal of belongings. They take things that have a meaning to them and only them. It could be something that reminds them of their childhood, but to us....it's just something that we have sitting around. Trust me...everything is taken for a reason (in their little minds)...there is some memory attached to the item.

Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to.
The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.

Thanks snodderly

Interesting you say that. The little jewelry box he took is one I made or I should say embellished with wood burnings of a bear and such on it. I gave it to him as a gift a long, long time ago.

Also D25 said the movies he took were the ones she gave him for Christmas a couple years ago. He left the others. So I can definitely see the items taken are important to him. He took a lot of photos from photo albums...I asked about it and he said he is making enlargements. I told him it was not necessary nor was there any reason for him to "feel" he had to TAKE them,...just tell me he has them. He didn't say anything. Just looked at me. Again he had a look about him for a brief second, that was different..like searching his thoughts as to why he did it.

I hope to be able to have great laughs about it someday.
