Answer - Your wife can't stand herself, she can't understand why you are interested in her. When you dumped her she felt attracted to you. She doesn't view herself as valuable and can't be attracted to a man who is interested in a "joyless" woman. Once you weren't interested it made you attractive because you now became valuable.
