In some very, very rare cases she might have a point. Yes, she stayed home to raise a child but in her case she didn't really give up anything. She is not educated therefore she did not sacrifice a career opportunity that would allow her to be self supporting in order to raise a child. She did not give up a career because she never had one to begin with. Most of those cases though revolve around very high earners where one spouse supported the other through law or medical school.
You can also prepare yourself for the "mediator is taking your side" because she is not hearing what she likes.
