Had a very busy work day, took off at closing to have a 'rita with friends then picked up my grandsons for the Homecoming parade. Collected a Wal-Mart bag full of candy. My friends have all decided to sign up for a exercise class starting next Wednesday at 5:00 called Zumba Gold. The G is so it doesn't say Zumba Old.
Anyway, that will be one more steady thing I have to do during the week.

Tomorrow is the Board Meeting. Probably boring as he11 but you have to start somewhere to make a difference. One step at a time, like in DB'ng.

Oh, and my male friend Terry made me some fresh homemade banana bread and invited me to dinner Wednesday evening. I'm such the social butterfly.

Can you give me more of the quote? I could have meant for both of you...or you or him....I don't recall what the details of that was and can't find it right now...but then it is so stinkin' hot right now I can't do anything but sit here and feel like I am in a slow cooker!
110 F today...which means my un-a/c bus was probably at a safe cooking temperature! So I am not a raw spring chicken either...have stewed at the moment!

Ah, the worm turns! It's 46 degrees here with an expected high of 84.

The quote had to do with contacting my H too soon, stir the pot so to speak. That I should wait closer to our court date to extend an olive branch. That was just before he sent the late night, drunken, 'Can I come home' he later denied remembering.

I haven't heard boo out of him since. Neither have the kids. I'm sure she is monitoring his text messages like a big dog.

How close is close enough? I'll have to do something, as if we go to court I'm going to have to call our kids as witnesses (something I loathe)

Hope your day turns cooler. We're starting to pull out the sweaters here, but I still think there is an Indian Summer lurking in the shadows.

Have a great Tuesday.

Hey Punkin, you sound great!

That exercise class sounds like fun. Doing it with friends will be a blast.

You havent heard from your h because he remembers saying that. Now he has to run back in.

Ah well, the ride continues.

Glad you are hangin' in.

He may not remember saying that...my H tells me now he truly didn't remember things he said during his drunken bouts...but that probably he was telling what was deep inside but couldn't let it out at the time.

I would wait until just a day or so before the court date...ask to speak to him person...this is what I did...this way you know OW isn't in the way of what is being said.

However, be prepared, even if things are delayed or called off, as I had requested because I told H I wasn't ready...it doesn't mean that H will be ready to work on anything (this was my reason for filing the second time...and the second and subsequent delays of the divorce were more mutual)...

If you contact too soon there is no urgency on his part to speak to you...that is my opinion....stratigic planning in a way...

I wish you the best...

Lin

Thanks imLin- I've got it straight now. I do keep getting these strange hang-up calls, even at work today. Once on my cell, 2-3 times at home.

Attended the Board meeting this afternoon, and, as expected, I was totally ignored. I just sat politely and listened to everything going on. I've been told you have to convince them you are not going away before anyone speaks to you.

Tomorrow night I'm having dinner at a friend's house. He finally has his place just like he wants it, and wants me to see. I hemmed his curtains for him.

Doing my dangest to keep GAL'ng.

What LIN said.

Your nickname, punkin is my oldest daughter's nickname, since she was a baby.
