Gatsby, I swear I felt exactly as you describe a few months ago. H shows interest, yet says there is no hope... And as NM says focus on you and let him come to you. I still find myself doing that. I only worry (or try) about me and the baby. Whatever H does is a bonus! I agree with Piano too!
Try floating! Just take one day at a time, don't think of him or his action or try to decipher his thoughts and actions. Truth is, he is still trying to make sens of it all in his own head! Keep busy and keep H at an arm's legnth.
