Finally!! Heard from the lady's insurance. They will send someone out today or tomorrow, check the damage, arrange with the shop to get it fixed and then will arrange for a rental!! Finally my baby will be back to her new looking self.
I made a stupid mistake last week and forgot to enter my hours for last Friday, so they won't be on my check tomorrow but should be on the next check in 2 weeks. Thank goodness for savings.
I need a break.

Good news about the insurance- finally! then again it's a miracle she even had insurance.

Well and if all goes according to plan and they reimburse me for the window which I already paid my deductable for, then I will have that $100 back. Won't count my chickens before they are hatched, I am just saying... lol

Too bad about your pay, but at least you get it next time. Guess that's the nice thing about being salaried, I don't have to enter my hours. Of course, the sucky part is that I don't get overtime and I only get paid once a month. Ah well.

I know it sucks. I don't know exactly what percentage ex is paying me but it is a big chunk of his but it isn't cheap raising 4 kids. Since he is the one that cheated and left, I don't feel bad for him.
I wish that the good people here didn't get so screwed over . On a different note it is pouring here. Hard enough to take a shower in...really!

Paying a WAS- thousands Raising 4 kids- more thousands Taking showers outside to save money- priceless

Were that it was so simple. For every case where it's "easy" to point the finger at the WAS, there's at least one where trying to know which is WA and which is LB is pretty much impossible. And on top op that, when it comes to CS, it doesn't, and shouldn't matter. At that point taking care of the kids is the only issue. Not who is to blame for what.
In my case there were no affairs... I would say that in MY opinion, my W, who didn't leave the house until we had agreed to D, was the WA. But I was the one that filed, I was the one that did all the work. And I was the one that agreed to pay more CS than the state would have required. I don't enjoy it, but I "get" it.
Alimony, another topic altogether, and one that I don't have to deal with.
In almost every case no one is coming out of divorce better off financially. I have read things that suggests that after a few years, most of us recover. I will be fine once the market recovers (fingers crossed) and I can sell my house.
I guess my point is that demonizing our kids' other parent isn't helping anyone, and there's been quite a bit of that going on lately.
Sometimes the walkaway is quite justfified at leaving, and as such, should not be punished financially. Plus, there is no reasonble way to prove fault.
