Yeah Ms and Rs are too complicated and so no needed. That's why I'm looking for meaningful one night stands now.

Sol - I mean that often times LBS learn far more about R's than the WAS do once all is said and done. Think of all we have learned on this forum! Because we have a wider scope of "R knowledge" we (or I would like to hope) will give ourselves more space not to just jump in to another R to "find happiness".

Romance and sex is REALLY fun but one should not make major life decisions based on romance and sex alone. And many WAS do just that when in an affair. Feeling "in love" is not the same as long term love but it's very easy to get caught up in that feeling.

I see what you are saying. Yeah it is probably true... going from one R to another doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

You are so right. The "highs" of those feelings tend to make people have blinders on then when reality hits, it's so different.

I got married based on ego the first time around. Someone who wouldn't give me the time of day in high school all of a sudden wanted me after college.

I don't miss spending time with her. I do miss spending the night with her.

I really hope I'm smarter the next time around.

BTW, I've been hearing accolades about this book, wonder if anyone here has read it yet?

I'm skipping all M improvement books right now. I'll save those for later. I'm into the survivor books instead.

Yeah I agree with you too but the reason I was interested was because it talks about how the typical men/women differences can be tracked back to how our brains are built differently. Why are men like how we are and why are women how they are. Believe me I'm never the one to take things as gospel no matter how many degrees and Phds are attached to someone's name (never impressed me) but it's still interesting they've tried to present these things in a manner that might make some sense.

A quick update on me while I'm here...

DD's been with STBXW since Mon and starting last night I missed her. Must be the old routine where I saw her every 2 days. I called STBXW's cell to talk to DD before she went to school but it went to her vm rightaway. I left her a vm that I wanted to talk to DD and to please call me. This was at 7AM. She texted me at 8:30AM saying her cell doesn't work at her new place and to call her on her land line. Then she asked about the toll-road pass again.

I also heard we have a date for the trial setting conference.
