It's about a family coping with having their son abducted and murdered. I've done a lot of technical writing over the years, but writing a novel has to be the hardest writing, at least for me. But it's also very fun!

Oh my! Rich subject you've got there.

I imagine writing a novel can be very trying but rewarding. Do you get a lot of writer's block?

I always have writer's block, even for easy technical articles. Deadlines are my savior, that's why the novel (which is freelance) is so hard to stay focused.

Seligman can help you with this. Change your thinking.

Writer's block SUCKS. Lucky for you it's freelance. Whenever you get those spurts of creativity, WRITE the words down before they escape into the deep abyss forever!

Ok, really odd thing has happened to me. Of course, post Bomb, my appetite took a nose dive. Changed my diet, got rid of most of the unhealthy junk. Dropped some weight, then started working out so the weight loss was sane. Feel great now, exercising almost daily, yada yada yada.

Now my appetite (for food, you pervs) is back like crazy. I'm hungry all the time...

Makes me feel really normal. wink

Pinhead,

Every time I stop here you're talking about food and exercise. It makes me feel hungry and exhausted.
grin

Now, how's the DBing while in MC working? Any sandwiches lately?
wink

No, no sandwiches. Well, I had a roastbeef sub for lunch...

Our brilliant MC suggested we take a break from using the deli until (let me look at the calendar...) the 27th when my W returns from visiting her sister's house. Not that I'm counting the days (10 FYI).

I should change the thread title to DBing in Life; since so much of this stuff is just good, healthy relationship advice.

Oh, and the wife had a great piece of advice when we were cuddling during a movie the other day; don't always analyze the "why's," just enjoy the cuddle...

As bad as things are, Pinhead, I would trade places with you in a heartbeat!

Or maybe it's that you are doing much right and I am still screwing up.

Keep up with the common sense approach. You are so right, so much of this is how to have a good, healthy relationship. It sounds like your W is at least on board and willing to test the waters. Carry on!!

God, I could use a sandwich.
