Thank you, Hope!

A friend of mine whose son was in a terrible car-accident back in the spring had an interesting quote on her FB page. I can't remember it exactly at the moment but it was something like, "I didn't know how strong I was until I had no other choice." I LOVE it. If you knew this woman and her circumstances, it's truly inspirational. Several times she has been told her son was not going to make it. The doctors wanted to pull him off life support. She (and the rest of the family) said no because she just felt she had to fight for her son. He is alive despite and the best doctors saying he would not. He is functioning despite being told he would be a vegetable. He is in rehab and learning to walk and talk again.

This family has been struggling for over 6 months with this and still going strong! If SHE can be positive in her circumstances, I can be!

Hmmm.... Looks like I could be right about H and this crisis setting him back. We were invited somewhere for Thanksgiving and H said that was "so far ahead for us" and "he is not ready to commit to going," but said I should go ahead and do so because the people that invited us are like family to me.

What the heck??? Like I would make Thanksgiving plans without him if we are supposed to be a family????

I didn't say much in response. This was all by email, btw. I had forwarded him the email from the friend. I simply replied that I was not saying I wanted to go but that I was afraid of hurting their feelings.

Then he comes home acting like the same ole same ole.

I have not said anything to him at this point because I haven't decided what to say or how to say it.

Thoughts?
