Seriously though I hear you on the age difference but some people aren't very picky about it or they're not thinking long term, they just want to go out and have fun.
Have you tried any single meetup.com groups (hiking, riding, kayaking etc)? I think that's a better way of meeting people than through match etc. Because at least you have some activities common between you and you don't have to go through the uncomfortable experience of meeting some stranger for a coffee etc. With a meetup group you can just play it off like you're there for the main activity.
And don't forget your MsTaken ring when the ugly guys hit on you:
Me: 35|WAW: 38|D: 6yo | http://tinyurl.com/2dxx7m6 Feb 2006, left, came back in two weeks Aug 2006, left again Apr 2007, filed for divorce Dec 2007, reunited Mar 2010, moved out, filed again
Where the heck did that ring go? I don't subscribe to match but my profile is still there. I still get winks, usually from guys on one of the coasts or some guy in his 70's from Egypt! At least this guy was local.
I do get the stuff from meetups. I need to work it around having my kids busy.

Kerry, funny you should say that! My brother from the boards has suggested I hang out at a Cabelas, Bass Pro, or Home Depot on a Friday night. Says I will meet more guys there than I do hanging at the Borders or Barnes & Noble...
Jeff, yes, I am a Cyclone fan, and a Big 12 fan. So I cheer Big 12 teams of all kinds (except Nebraska) when they play other conferences. I was raised in a Hawkeye family (at Christmas we sang the entire Iowa fight song any time someone got a Hawkeye-related gift, which was often!), so as long as the Hawks aren't playing the Cyclones, I also cheer for them.
When I did the Utah road trip a couple summers ago with the kids, we stopped at a Cabela's in Lehi and there was a lady customer chatting me up when I was looking for a manly comforter to replace the Winnie the Pooh one my wife had on my bed. I got the feeling she knew that Cabela's was the place to hang to find lots of single guys.
I will probably be there this next weekend because of the boy's birthdays and we plan on going to Legends. I am trying to talk them into going to the Ren Fest since the girls have never gone(neither has S14 soon to be 15 either) and it would be so different from our normal birthday routine. That is in Bonner Springs, KS. One weather forcast says rain but another says great with the high of 75 which is perfect!

Love the legends! Bummed that the Home Decorators store isn't there any more, got some cute end tables there... We always hit the TRex and occasionally Coldstone. Kids love the fountain, of course. And I always take their picture w/the giant turtle sculpture.
We did the Ren Fest one year while we were there. Nathan really wanted to go. But we went on the wrong weekend....tons of 'kids' (late teens to late 20s) wearing goth-style fairy and wizard costumes...and THOSE were spectators, not performers! Oh well it was still quite fun, esp the jousting.
