3. For the next 14 days make a list of 10 things that you noticed and are grateful for having in your life. I mean... you really feel gratitude for these things. 10 a day for 14 days.

what's the purpose of this exercise?
what is being measured?
are you monitoring the progress of the results?

sorry to get all technical on you but if you throw it out there, and you leave me hanging .. then there is no incentive to listen to what you have to say.

I think this is sort of like a gratitude journal (what TH is suggesting). My mom, sister and I have kept one since we were kids!

When times are really tough the gratitude journal sort of helps you find *something* to be very, very grateful for that you might have overlooked before. It also sort of forces you (in a good way) to look at life with a fresh set of eyes.

Focus on positive things and more positive things will happen in your life. You manifest what you focus on.

Something like that smile

Perspective is a funny thing. Change it just a tiny bit, and it's like changing the bank of a river a bit in that a tiny change in the bank can change the course of a great river over time.

Listing things that you are grateful for focuses your attention on things in the present that are good. That's part of balance smile

I am grateful for the diet coke and Chicken Club Toaster Sandwich combo at Sonic. smile It was tasty.

I am grateful to hear my littlest dog snoring louder than a full-grown man with sleep apnia because it warms my heart.

I am grateful that it has just rained, so I don't have to water my lawn.

I am grateful I have old Cary Grant movies that I rented, so I can watch them later .

I am grateful that I saw a "murder" of crows (rather large ones) on my morning walk (but I think murder is a bad name for a group of crows).

I am grateful that I can share the grateful excercise with people smile

I've been thinking about it. I think it means you don't appreciate little things in life?

Accept that there is only one thing you can change in life and that is you

Like "Bounce" dryer sheets. They sure smell good, and they make your towels softer too.
