Be careful with that sun as I heard Queensland has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world.
Being away from home sure does seem like it would make it harder to lose the emotions towards your X. But you are gaining an incredible life experience and independence. The occasional bouts of loneliness and lament are expected.
