My daughter made the sadiest remark this morning it made me want to cry. D10 walked up to me and hugged me and said daddy I miss you. I told her she didn't have to miss me I was here she should be missing her mom. She said why she don't miss us. All I could do was say I was sorry.

Last night I spent some time reading some post in the MLC forum. Many of the things I read sound just like my wife down to the new 45000 sports car. I read how some people wait 5 years for there spouse to come out of the fog. All I can say is if my stbex comes out of the fog 5 years from now she will come out alone me and the kids will not be here waiting for her we will have moved on long before then. I don't see how the divorce can go much beyond February of next year. Her clock is ticking

The stbex has not answered the kids call one time this weekend I feel so bad my kids see her acting like she is, but kind of glad at the same time because no matter what she tells them her actions speak louder.

I'm so glad my kids can see who the adult parent is but it makes me sad to watch my wife push the kids away. When I moved out I was sure my 3 year old twins would forget about me they haven't. D10 tells me they cry for me every night this morning I started laundry so I can pack there clothes to get ready to take them to there mom tonight. Twin 1 started crying saying no want to se momma momma's mean. This is by far the hardiest part of divorce. 
It's hard to believe how she has changed in only 3 months it used to be hard to get her to leave the kids with a baby sitter so we could go out now she goes 3 days without calling or answering there calls.

Keep up the hard work. Reading threads like yours makes me realize I have it pretty easy. Eyes on the prize, your kids and keep your chin up.

One thing you said. You and you STBXW are in a custody fight. Are you sure she really knows this? Has she absorbed this fact? When you get to court, and ask for full custody (or whatever you decide on) is there a chance she will be surprised? Or at least act that way?

Obviously we only hear your side, but she just does not seem to be aware of the precarious position she seem to be placing herself in.

I don't know what's going on inside of her head but on 06-24-2010 she was served papers asking for d on grounds of a I ask for full custody child support and for her to have visitation with witnesses to keep om away from my kids. Since that time she has introduced kids to om 2-4 I don't know what she knows but she should know

Who knows what she is thinking. But my adivce is keep documenting everything. make the judge's job easy, have a very clear, consistant story for the judge. Don't muddy the waters. "My W has shown she cannot provide a safe home for my kids." End of story. Go for full custody. If you say, she can't provise a safe home, but you are OK w/ 50/50 you contradict yourself. A judge will do what they see fit, but if you contradict yourself you will end up with less, and your kids will suffer.

Also, avoid going out with your lady friend at night. Be up front and tell her exactly why. You want your kids and your STBXW is trying to use her against you. It isn't fair, but someitmes life isn't . She will understand.

I really think saving a marriage and fighting for your family is an honorable thing to do. Sadly I do not believe there is on chance in one thousand for us. I have zero expectations of this ever happening, sadly all the tough love speeches I have in my head will never get used. My #1 goal in life at this time is to get my kids away from the life style she is exposing them to, after that some healthy boundaries can be set and she can have the fantasy life she’s dreaming of. Just don’t drag my kids through it.
I am so aggravated with my lawyer, I don’t know if all lawyers are as bad at returning phone calls as mine, but one thing is for sure he sucks at it. In July I went attorney shopping and the two lawyers I had an appointment with both told me that my lawyer was very good, slow and methodical, and had a very good 35+ year working relationship with the Judge appointed to my case, both lawyers told me not to make changes at the time. Since then absolutely nothing that I see has happened. How do you get your lawyer to communicate with you? Friday I sent him a letter with 7 questions about my case how long do I wait before resending it?
