Hey Mish! That is what the food pantry is for, right? To help those who need it...you gave when you could, it's only fair then that you can receive when you need it, too!
It is too bad that they don't take all factors into account when determining free/reduced lunch and other options like that. Still, you are right, you (and the rest of us!) have a lot to still be thankful for, including your home, your son, steady employment, etc.
