Kat, you know sometimes you just can't please everyone and besides we're not responsible for dealing with others' emotions- they are! And this isn't the first time your dad has gotten upset over nothing so it's his problem to get over it.
So glad S17 is ok! Hindsight is always 20/20- yes if someone's leaving the scene of an accident they're probably not worth chasing after. Just try to get the license plate and leave the rest to the police.
Do you mean the rear bumper- not the fender? If it's just the plastic bumper cover it's pretty easy to replace, snaps off and the new one snaps on...as long as the foam and the actual bumper underneath are ok. Then you just have to primer and paint match which is where the cost is. Is the lady's insurance company paying for the repair?
