Got that from The Four Agreements and realized that 99% of all my sitch and non-sitch assumptions turn out wrong. But my assumption on this is: He's in pain. Confused. Conflicted. Misses me.
I know him. He's a homebody, a strongly family-oriented man and has a heart of gold. I gladly and lovingly give him all the time and space he needs to sort it all through and process it.
(Of course, I did that for his mother, too...)
