I find the alt/FB can be helpful when you (like me in Calgary) are somewhat isolated from everyone else in our situations and you really don't want to wait for a reply on the thread.

Start planning the reno's and how it will lokk. Will it have a garage for your 'man stuff'?

Allen posted that...I read it tonight...and the email I sent her yesterday was ALMOST identical. She's not worthy of a hand written one, so I emailed it. LOL (a little mean I know)
