It was regarding scuba diving. I am going to get certified before we would be going there (H is certified, also he knows that I'm going to). We were talking about the particular site there and he mentioned that it is possible to snorkel there too. I said that I thought that snorkeling was only possible very near the surface but really I don't know the difference between the two. And then he came back with the "Wow you want to go scuba and you don't know the difference between them??".
Which I can't see how it would matter because I wouldn't be able to do it without certification and obviously I'd learn all the necessary stuff there... I just found his reply very condescending.
That is just so immature.
For years I have sworn to myself that I would keep a recorder in my pocket to tape conversations like that and e-mail them out later so "they" can hear first hand how stupid that kind of talk is. I have never done it and right now my sitch is beyond that.
