Thanks Ali smile

Things are going well. My best friend came out from the UK and we went to Cairns and had a great time - photos on the alt. We went swimming in waterfalls, diving on the reef and spent loads of time together which was lovely especially after not seeing a face from home for 5 months!

We visited a place called Port Douglas and it is so lovely here I have decided to stay. It couldn't be more perfect - sun, sea, sand, crocodiles... wink I have an interview for a job tomorrow at a pharmacy which is great as hopefully I'll get paid a fairly decent wage instead of the shocking wages they pay backpackers here. The hostel is nice, very modern and quite a good crowd there. If you work 11 hours a week there you get free accomodation so I have put my name down. I am hoping they'll employ me as a cleaner as I am dyign to clean the place. Seriously, I don't know what happens to standards when you backpack people are pretty gross! That being quite an understatement!! smile still it's all fun.

Today I lay under a palm tree and read my book and listened to music all day... bliss. My one task for the day was to post a postcard and in the end I didn't get round to it lol! I'm feeling pretty chilled out these days. The really good thing to come out of the husband leaving thing was learning to be quite ok with my own company, obviousy not for too long but I am really appreciating my own time these days.

I had a long break with communication with exh and then he randomnly sent me a message asking me for my address as he's sending me something. Hmmm....

Cas - sorry I missed you!

Sorry abut the typos - sticky keyboard syndrome again. I shall catch up with everyone now.

Wonderful! Marvelous! FABULOUS!!!!

How many more words can I come up with for how happy I am for you and your adventure? grin

A pharmacy? Do you mean dispensing prescriptions or other general stuff?

I spent an afternoon in Port Douglas after coming back from Cape Tribulation/Daintree. The Daintree area was where I had the best tea I have ever drank.

Have you seen any of those green ants? I got bit by some when laying against a tree that was their home. You can grind them up in water and it tastes like lemonade.

Lol yeah I got bitten by the buggers - they hurt a lot! Yeah, one of the guides was telling us that if you lick there bums then it tastes of lime. I was like, there are a lot of things in life that I'll do but licking an ants arse is not one of them!! smile

Just serving in the shop Mish, thank goodness.

Just posting here instead of emailing h. I saw him on FB and I almost emailed him. When he asked me for my address I replied with the address and asked how Maple was. He never replied and it p!ssed me off so I just nearly sent a follow up.

I don't need to do that right?!
