The wedding was nice. They seem like a great couple. I got weepy halfway thru the reception and called it an early night though.

Pictures are slowly going up in the alt. smile

Yes, hugs are good.

Thanks Donna!

It was pretty awesome.

Only 2 things that were not so good. The emotions the wedding brought up and the fact that Waikiki looks a hell of a lot like LA. I could have had all the tall buildings, traffic, people and palm trees for 1/5 the price LOL. So, I think next time I will do either Maui or Kauai!

Of course, I have to go see my sister while she is still stationed in Japan first!

And Roger wants to go to Ixtapa in January.

So another trip to Hawai'i may not be happening for a while. LOL

Got my living room window replaced on Friday. YAY! I now have all double paned windows! That should help my heating and cooling bills! Plus, I love the new window. My frame is not square though LOL. After 56 years, a lot of that house has settled. When they put the new window in, it was obvious how parts of it did not square up. So the window guy put a little slim wood molding on the inside to hide the non-squareness of it.

Roger and I had a weird weekend. Totally out of sync intimacy wise. A couple of failed attempts at ML and then Saturday night I got told he wasn't in the mood (he was grumpy/frustrated about the issue lol). He then follows that up with we need to talk, but not in the bedroom. Of course, at this point it's late and we're both in bed. So we don't actually get around to talking til Sunday afternoon since I wake up Sunday morning to find him already on his computer. I made breakfast and then we went to see Salt (which was great btw. Loved the twists and totally did not see the end coming!). Had a good talk at Sunday evening though. He seems to feel better about everything and was much more affectionate and cuddly even though we just went to sleep. I wish he was more open to make-up sex lol.

Yeah, Waikiki is not my kind of place. The first time I went there, I got approached by a couple prostitutes and several drug dealers when walking down the streets there. I did get a good laugh watching a couple Jehoviah Witness guys trying to convince a prostitute to give up her occupation.

Antarctica.

I had my chance to be on an icebreaker in the Coast Guard and I turned it down.

Waikiki is ok for entertainment but not if you were looking for the real Hawaii. IMO, Lanai is the BEST island for true Hawaiian culture and peace.

Glad you and Roger got through whatever was causing the problem. Emotions will mess up a man's libido in a hurry won't it? Amazes me.

Kerry - lol. I can't imagine why you turned that down! wink

Mish - yeah, that was my conclusion as well. I will add Lanai to our Maui/Kauai possibility list. smile

As for Roger, we are just going thru an adjustment right now anyways. He is unemployed at the moment. His contract is up and he can't get rehired for six months. Since his agency wasn't able to find him another contract, he might spend that whole time unemployed before going back to his previous position. So a lot of the household chores are getting reshuffled.

But things will settle in a few weeks. Maybe I can even get him to come have lunch with me sometimes like I used to do on my furlough Fridays. smile
