Called home at 4 to see if W wanted me to pick the kids up from school, she said no, she was feeling better. I asked her if I should cancel the sitter, again she said no, she'd like to still go.

Got home with some grub for the rugrats, then got ready for the night out. I really need to get some better clothes; most of my stuff is the wrong size now, especially pants. I've lost so much weight, and I wasn't a fashion horse before. But you do with what you have... I was clean, smelled good, and ready for a nice night.

We took off when the babysitter was settled in, and joked/talked/listened to music while we headed downtown. Got to the dance place but it was dead, and we were both hungry so we walked over to a restaurant and ate dinner outside.

Had good conversations and joking, no R talks at all. W still didn't feel all that hot with her stomach, but she was still game for doing something. The downtown area has a lot of small shops, so we walked around and poked into anyplace interesting.

By now it was around 8:45, and she had been both yawning and grimacing about her stomach. We headed back over to the dance place, and it was still dead, no one even at the bar. She said she was too tired for lessons (which run from 8-10), so we headed home.

Let the babysitter go, then went to bed shortly after.

A nice night, but other than some great convos and laughter, no sparks from her. She said she had a good time, and seemed comfortable all night.

She plays her cards close to the vest.

On a fashion note, where do the cool kids buy clothes these days? I used to be a walking advertisement for Eddie Bauer, but that's a bit tamer than I'd like. And I'm on a budget, so no $500 shirts!

if you csn find a nordstrom rack, you can get some great stuff cheap. Or off 5th, which is a discount Saks store, designer stuff 60-80 % off. I think the night went well Pin, she didnt feel good as you could see but she still made the trip with you, to me a good sign and you didnt pout that it wasnt everything you were hoping for. Good job in my opinion.

I agree.

It sounds like a good night, all in all. My W can barely be in the same room and watch TV together. I envy you!

You had a good time, didn't push anything and were relaxed with each other. It sounds like a good start.

Really, at this point, can you expect more?

I'm happy for you and proud of you for not pushing for more.

Good job!

It's taken awhile, but now I'm up to running 2 miles each morning, then doing crunches and push ups when I get home. I may never run the marathon I'm aiming for (might have to walk a lot of it), but geez, feeling this good physically is great.

I remember reading an article about Herschel Walker (if anyone remembers him). He never touched a weight in his college or NFL/USFL career. Yet he was buffed. Said he just did a bazillion situps and pushups everyday. Now, I'm not blessed genetically like he was, but it's amazing what two simple exercise will do for you.

Glad to hear the night went well, Pin.

Ah exercise... an absolute must. My fitness secret is very simple... walking. It keeps me trim.

Yeah, I was walking the two miles, plus weights at the Y, but walking was getting boring.
