Wow, you have had an incredible ride through this whole DB-road. I admire your strength and common sense, to be able to live in the moment and recognize what you need. Haven't had any luck finding another IC that I can afford, but it's really ok. I'm finding a good footing and I need to learn to stand on my own feet sooner or later without that crutch.

I went out with my friend Saturday night and there was WAY TOO MUCH FUN HAD! LOL We decided we have to do it again but with more control on the margaritas.

We went to dinner at one of our local Mexican restaurants and sat at the bar having super yummy margaritas. As we left there was a man coming in with a karaoke machine. We just knew we had to come back to watch the spectacle. We went to see Vampires Suck...dumb but a good laugh and that was our goal. When we got back to the restaurant it was packed to the rafters and the karaoke was in full swing. Let me just say this....we closed the place down and it took us quite a while to make it home. LOL! They make some mean pomegranite margaritas!!!

I haven't done anything quite like that in a number of years. It was so much fun. We just might do it again this coming weekend.

Sorry you haven't had much luck finding another IC, but I am glad you are continuing to build on the skills you have learned.

It truly is amazing to look back and see how far we have all come.

Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday weekend. I did a bunch of NOTHING! Totally lazy, watched HGTV most of the day today! House Hunters International marathon. Ahhh....dreams.....

There wasn't much I could do this weekend since I have 19cents in my checking account until the 16th. LOL That's not going to go very far. I had a good laugh about it this morning while I tried to put together some stuff for lunch today. You'd be amazed at the creativity you get when you are down to rice, macaroni, a package of hot dogs and frozen puff pastry. I made some baked pigs in blankets and macaroni salad. See....not bad. HA!

Like I said before, I've resigned myself to the way things are. We live together, sleep together, enjoy each other but there is no feeling from him at all. Because of that, I've shut my own down. I'm not comfortable expressing myself with him because it feels like I'd just be trying to get him to parrot back to me and that won't do anyone any good.

So.....it is what it is. Nothing good, nothing bad....we just exist with each other and co-parent.

I know you will probably not like the idea, but it may be time to apply for food stamps...and check with your local town hall about a food bank.
I used my town's food bank for a few weeks when my youngest was going through her major surgery (neither of us worked while she was going through treatment).

Is Marc getting free or reduced school lunch?

I loved your story about the karaoke night, btw...hope you have more fun days like that ahead (even if just speed-walking the mall with a friend)....
