I think the problem with waywards is they are sold on the hollywood love mythos :
If you love someone, marriage is easy If you feel love, then you're in love, if you don't, then get out of there Pursue the magic, never settle Love is something that happens on site, if the magic isn't there, then you are barking up the wrong tree
Waywards get sold on this stuff... And I notice a lot of waywards that end up in affairs seem to resort to MUSIC for thier reasoning...
Ya, like musicians have stable marriages and can give good advice? lol
lol Allen. I think you're right though. I once told my W she's chasing a rainbow. And I think that's exactly what happens. They think finding someone or something else will make them 'happy'. They go through the same cycles until they look at themselves.
If I can only get rid of my 'problem' (the LBS) I can have that dream relationship like you see in the movies and read in those magazines.
I think that's why they mix up the 'I'm not in love with you' with 'attraction'. In our society it's all about love in relationships. If it was all about love why is there the for worse part of the vows? They knew there's an ebb and flow in everything in life...including R's.
Bur M is a throw-away commodity now. I read a remark that it's easier to get out of a M than get out of a cell phone contract. People don't realize it's the working through the lows that give the R an opportunity to rise to new heights.
Even Michelle talks about this when addressing the WAS in her book (or maybe it was in one of her articles).

Right on target Allen. I see the pattern of people wanting to do what they 'feel'. If they don't feel happy they just don't want to do it. They immaturely forget sometimes you need to do what you don't feel like doing because there is a responsibility that trumps your personal feelings. Like having kids.
There were times I didn't feel like changing diapers, or getting up in the middle of the night. Could you imagine what it would be like if people only did what they 'feel' like doing?
Films and mags like Cosmopolitan, etc... those are becoming the experts in the fields of living.
I'm going to check out the post you're referring to.

Soon people will be attempting to divorce their kids.
That was and is still done.. It's called disownership.
People don't disown their kids very often anymore... Mainly in countries that are pretty conservative in nature..
I would like to think there are less drastic means of guiding children safely to adulthood that don't involve turning them loose on the country without proper adult support...
