I told her that I was going dancing on Thursday night, and that I wanted her to come with me.
Better: "I'm going dancing on Thursday night; you're welcome to come, if you'd like." (see the difference?)
I see the difference and it's confusing. the first one sounds like he's leading, taking control.
The second is giving her a decision.
Woman like both, right?
I'm I reading this wrong??
For a guy who usually disagrees with a lot of the straight DB dogma, I was just going with the straight DG dogma here. We are taught by MWD to offer invites structured this way: "Me adn the kids are going _________; you're welcome to join us."
